Call for Proposals — ACRL/NY Professional Development Committee 2025

The ACRL/NY Professional Development Committee is currently seeking proposals for presentations and workshops for Spring and Fall 2025, both online and in-person. Share your research, your ideas, and your exciting projects/initiatives, with us!

All topics related to libraries and the professional development of library and information professionals—especially relevant to those working in academic and research libraries—are welcome.

Some suggestions include, but are not limited to:

  1. Artificial intelligence (AI) and AI literacy
  2. Open pedagogy and instructional design
  3. Open access and equitable publishing
  4. Politicization of academic libraries
  5. Collaborative collections
  6. DEI and social justice in libraries
  7. Data management and visualization
  8. Reimagining library spaces
  9. Navigating the research/writing/tenure process
  10. Creating and sustaining an engaged workforce
