The ACRL/NY Professional Development Committee is currently seeking proposals for presentations and workshops for Spring and Fall 2025, both online and in-person. Share your research, your ideas, and your exciting projects/initiatives, with us!
All topics related to libraries and the professional development of library and information professionals—especially relevant to those working in academic and research libraries—are welcome.
Some suggestions include, but are not limited to:
- Artificial intelligence (AI) and AI literacy
- Open pedagogy and instructional design
- Open access and equitable publishing
- Politicization of academic libraries
- Collaborative collections
- DEI and social justice in libraries
- Data management and visualization
- Reimagining library spaces
- Navigating the research/writing/tenure process
- Creating and sustaining an engaged workforce
Please submit your proposal including a brief description (no more than 500 words) by March 09, 2025 (11:59 PM EST) in this form :
And share with friends and colleagues who may be interested. ACRL/NY will provide presenters with a formal letter to be included in promotion and tenure files.
